Del Mar's The Dive Inn

I keep saying “this is my favorite house so far” until we get to the next one. Each Del Mar Vacations home has been great in their own unique way. The Dive Inn (# 447) located in a private, upscale Eastham neighborhood has definitely climbed to the top of my list.

The pool and the COMPLETELY FENCED-IN backyard truly made our stay very relaxing. We opened up the backdoor and the dogs were out and about without being leashed or the constant worry of where they were wandering. For city people and city dogs, this is the best treat!

The backyard is lined with pine trees for maximum privacy. We laid and BBQ’d on the expansive decks while watching the dogs run, play, and chomp on sticks. We also enjoyed floating and swimming in the gorgeous, private, heated pool.

Inside there are 5 HUGE bedrooms, two being master bedrooms sleeping 12.

We found the kitchen to be extremely well equipped, perfect for cooking in. There are also separate living spaces on either side of the home for multiple families to enjoy. We loved the room right off the side entrance and spent every late-night unwinding in the cozy couches with a movie.

Did I mention the desk situation? I’m pretty sure almost every bedroom had a desk or table for working. Ideal for those still working remotely or hoping to get in some hours during the vacation week.

Aside from the yard and the dogs being at total ease, our favorite part of our stay was cooking out, enjoying family time, with no stress. One night we had a true BBQ with burgers, dogs, and all the sides with the birds chirping in the back, and the skies still bright at 8 PM. It felt like the perfect kick-off to summer.

If you are looking to get together with friends or family this summer, The Dive Inn would be my go to for vacationers of all ages, and dogs who enjoy a good yard.
