MDW on Lover's Lake

Hi friends! If you've been following along on Instagram you've seen we've spent the past week at Del Mar Vacations beautiful #621 Lover’s Lakehouse in Chatham. We've never stayed on a lake before on Cape Cod, and let me tell you, it is the best of both worlds. We went to the beach in the morning (Nauset Light is dog-friendly!) and spent the afternoon paddle boarding and letting the dogs romp in the freshwater lake. 

The four-bedroom, three-bath, dog-friendly lakefront vacation home, was perfect for our family. Highlights include the spectacular views from all the back facing windows and doors, direct (and private) access to the lake, multiple decks, a fire pit, a game room, and a gym. Did I mention it's minutes to town in case you are craving local take out? 

The property also has a dog toy bin full of goodies, dog beds, dog bowls, dog bags, and a lot of pictures of the family's ADORABLE chocolate lab. I really can't think of a better place to quarantine! 

If I had to pick the best part of the last week here at Lover’s Lakehouse I would say our Memorial Day BBQ on the back bluestone patio overlooking the lake, with the pups playing in the yard while our family hung out, summed up the most perfect day. 

I could go on and on about the house and how seamless Del Mar Vacations made our trip, but I'll encourage you to experience the Cape through one of Del Mar's vacation homes for yourself. Everyone could use a little break these days!
